#680 They called me Hopea sangal, also known as Hopea curtisii, and Hopea lowii. I pay homage to the male botanists Hugh Low, and Charles Curtis, Carlton Clarence Curtis, Charles Henry Curtis, William Curtis, or Moses Ashley Curtis. They first catalogued me in 1841.

Native to Borneo, Jawa, Lesser Sunda Is., Malaya, Myanmar, Sumatera, and Thailand.
