I pay homage to the male botanists Vesling (I couldn’t find his records), Nikolaus Joseph von Jacquin, or Joseph Franz von Jacquin, John Sibthorp, or Humphry Waldo Sibthorp, and Charles Noyes Forbes, Edward Forbes, or Henry Ogg Forbes. They first catalogued me in 1810.
#310 They called me Araucaria columnaris, also known as Araucaria cookii, Eutacta cookii, and Araucaria lavoixii. I pay homage to the male botanists Lavoix (I couldn’t find his records), and James Cook, or Ian O. Cook. They first catalogued me in 1852.
