#173 They called me Manilkara zapota, also known as Mimusops grisebachii, Achras calderonii, Manilkariopsis rojasii, Achras conzattii, Achras rojasii, Manilkara grisebachii, Manilkara rojasii, Manilkara conzattii, and Manilkara calderonii. I pay homage to the male botanists August Heinrich Rudolf Grisebach, Calderon (I couldn’t find his records), Rojas (I couldn’t find his records), and Conzatt (I couldn’t find his records). They first catalogued me in 1953.

Native to Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico Central, Mexico Gulf, Mexico Northeast, Mexico Northwest, Mexico Southeast, Mexico Southwest, Nicaragua, and Panamá.
